Jesus At The Beach Festival July 26, 27, & 28, 2010
Dear Friends, Praise the Lord and greetings in Jesus name! It is a blessing to be in His presence daily and witness his love and life changing power. Everyday we are on the boardwalk for ministry from The Son’Spot building on Worcester Street to the Sand Sculpture on Second Street, with preaching, testimonies, and other ministry. We meet daily at The Son’Spot at 6am, 10am, and 8pm for worship, preaching, prayer, and ministry. Our purpose is to gather with no plan, except to invite God to manifest Himself as He desires. The food ministry includes free dinner on Tuesdays Thursdays year round, and also breakfast on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in the summer. Many of the people coming are from other nations. We have Bibles and tracts available on the counter written in many different languages. The same Spirit-led ministry that the Lord does everyday at The Son’Spot is what He does during the Jesus at the Beach Music & Ministry Festival. The only difference is instead of one or two ministry teams, during the festival there are many ministry teams. To accommodate more people we gather inside the convention center during the day. And for outreach ministry we gather on the beach at night. Last year God used many people to minister through music, song, preaching, prayer, passing out tracts, witnessing, sand sculpture, dramas, dance, and fellowship. God is so good. It was awesome to watch the Lord minister to so many of the thousands on the boardwalk. Thank you Lord for the opportunity to lift up the name of Jesus in Ocean City. And thank you, Lord, for the privilege of being your vessel. Good News Reports From Last Year’s Jesus At The Beach Festival On Wednesday there was a baptism service on the beach across from the convention center. We praised the Lord in song, preached the Word about salvation, baptism, and living in God’s Spirit. As the people were being led into the water each one was counseled and prayed for. It was a most blessed time and for some a highlight of the three day journey. As we were leaving the beach a women asked what we were doing and what the purpose was. We had the opportunity to share about being born of the Spirit and that baptism was an outward demonstration of burying the old person and becoming a new creature in Christ. She received God’s Words of salvation. Some were healed, others received restoration, and others received great peace and rest for their souls. Some wept and others laughed. In between the times of worship and intercession there were opportunities for fellowship, sharing with one another, and ministering to the Lord in other ways. We have received letters and calls from some of the people who were here and their comments have been encouraging. They testified of health for their bodies, marriages renewed and refreshed, and a place of intimacy and worship with the Lord was experienced for the first time. One couple wrote, “What a wonderful time of fellowship, praise, and worship we had with the family of our heavenly Father last week. It was a joy to participate in the work of the Lord. He ministered to both of us through the music, the worship, and the Word. It was good to spend a time of refreshing and renewing with you all. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!” Our work here in Ocean City goes on daily year round. We meet everyday except Wednesday at 10am and 8pm for prayer, worship, Bible, and encouragement. We have outreach ministry most everyday at 5pm on the boardwalk. We feed people free meals daily, sometimes twice daily, deliver food bags, visit homes, go on the streets and preach, distribute literature and praise the Lord. It was great to have the Jesus At The Beach Music and Minister Festival, to take a few days off from the daily routine to be refreshed by the Lord, and to join with friends and family. The Lord gave memorable moments and landmarks which brought turning points in people’s lives. It was a good thing for all of us to take time to refresh ourselves in the Lord for these three days. This Year’s Jesus At The Beach Festival The sixteenth annual JESUS AT THE BEACH MUSIC & MINISTRY FESTIVAL will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, July 26, 27, & 28, 2010. The Festival will begin each day at 10am until approximately 1pm at the Ocean City Convention Center with praise, worship, dance, drama, testimony, preaching, prayer, and Holy Spirit ministry. The afternoons are free to enjoy fellowship with one another. Each night from 7pm to 10pm on the beach at North Division Street, God will minister through praise music, dance, drama, testimony, and one-on-one sharing. A baptism service is planned for Wednesday, following the meeting, at approximately 1pm or so, in the ocean near the Convention Center. You can drop people off downtown at North Division Street (the same street as the Route 50 bridge) for the evening ministry, and then park at the Convention Center (located on 40th Street and Coastal Highway). Also you can park free at the Park and Ride in West Ocean City and ride the city bus for a dollar. If you park at the convention center in the evening, put a JESUS AT THE BEACH flyer on your dashboard to identify you are attending the ministry. If definite rain is known in advance, the evening ministry will relocate to the Convention Center. Please pray for good weather. If you need a list of area hotels or campgrounds for lodging, want more information, or would like to see pictures of prior festivals, please visit our web page at www.JesusAtTheBeach.org . Although all the ministers are volunteer, funds are needed for the Convention Center rental, sound equipment, security, and other related expenses. Please prayerfully consider participating financially in this opportunity to communicate the Good News of Jesus to the thousands walking down the boardwalk. There is no charge to participate at any of these ministry events. We have enclosed two flyers. Please use one to personally remind you to pray with us and display the other at your church fellowship. We’ve also enclosed a bumper sticker for your vehicle. Please pray that God's will be accomplished concerning the preparation, provision, and manifestation of this year’s JESUS AT THE BEACH FESTIVAL. If you have any questions, need additional flyers, or desire a tee shirt, please contact us through the web page, by phone, or mail. We hope you are planning to attend. Remember to bring a beach chair or blanket to sit on. Thank you very much, and we look forward to seeing you soon! It’s all about HIM. Blessings, anointing, and substance in Jesus, we pray, Gary and Dick ‘It’s not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit says the Lord.” Zechariah 4:6 Future Festival Dates The Festival always begins the last Monday of July.
