Jesus At The Beach

July 28, 29, & 30, 2008

Dear Friends,

Praise the Lord and greetings in Jesus name! It is a blessing to be in His presence daily and witness his love and life changing power. Everyday we are on the boardwalk for ministry from The Son'Spot building on Worcester Street to the Sand Sculpture on Second Street, with preaching, testimonies, and other ministry. We meet daily at The Son'Spot at 6am, 10am, and 8pm for worship, preaching, prayer, and ministry. Our purpose is to gather with no plan, except to invite God to manifest Himself as He desires. The food ministry includes free dinner on Thursdays year around, and also breakfast on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in the summer. Many of the people coming are from other nations. We have Bibles and tracts available on the counter written in many different languages.

The same Spirit-led ministry that the Lord does everyday at The Son'Spot is what He does during the Jesus at the Beach Music & Ministry Festival. The only difference is instead of one or two ministry teams, during the festival there are many ministry teams. To accommodate more people we gather inside the convention center during the day. And for outreach ministry we gather on the beach at night. Last year God used many people to minister through music, song, preaching, prayer, passing out tracts, witnessing, sand sculpture, dramas, dance, and fellowship. God is so good. It was awesome to watch the Lord minister to so many of the thousands on the boardwalk. Thank you Lord for the opportunity to lift up the name of Jesus in Ocean City. And thank you, Lord, for the privilege of being your vessel.

Good News Reports From Prior Jesus At The Beach Festivals:

  • "I think this was the best worship at Jesus At The Beach that I have been to. May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ continue to use Son'Spot to glorify Him in worship, reaching out to the lost, and showering Ocean City with Godly love"
  • "We were at the t-shirt booth and a woman came up who has not been able to breathe correctly for years. We shared Jesus with her and began to lay hands on her and pray for her. After a while she started praising Jesus and saying, "I can breathe."
  • On Monday night at the prayer tent a lady came to ask for prayer. She was weeping and said that her 16 year old daughter had been killed in a car accident, that she was praying and the Lord told her to come to Jesus At The Beach with her other daughter and sister, and that if she came and received prayer that the Lord will heal her. She had heard of the meetings here from a friend and on the computer. She came and spent a long time in prayer and weeping and she went away glad and her sadness had left her.
  • On Tuesday night a person on the stage asked all at the gathering to stretch forth their hands toward the boardwalk and proclaim "God is good". As we did that we could here echoes from the boardwalk and they replied God is good. A young boy was standing near me also praying and extending his hands and shortly after that he came to his dad and asked if he could go on the stage and preach---he is 6 years old. He stood and preached for five minutes pleading and weeping for the people on the boardwalk and others that they would 'make the right choice' to follow the Lord.
  • A lady came to the prayer tent burdened with problems and she said that the Lord had sent her to receive form the Lord and the Lord touched her.

  • One young girl on the beach stood before the crowd on the stage and wept and repented and asked God to give her a new start---she wanted to rededicate her life to the Lord.
  • Another lady testified that she could not breathe without a machine and had infirmities in her body and now she is completely whole.
  • Another lady spoke and said that last year at Jesus At The Beach her marriage was in a very bad way and this year the Lord has made it better than ever.
  • A young drummer from Pennsylvania was living in rebellion and his father had died several years ago. He stood and wept and testified before the people at the convention center that he had come back to the Lord and the Lord had touched him greatly here in Ocean City.
  • After one of the meetings several people joined in on the boardwalk with a street performer singing songs to the Lord and witnessing to the people; there was continual outreach to many each day of the festival as there is each day in Ocean City.
  • The baptism was a wonderful time of His presence on the beach. Many onlookers watched as ten to fifteen people were baptized ---some young, others old, one pregnant, and a couple rededicated their lives to Jesus. We worshipped, prayed, and sang on the beach for quite awhile as we praised the Lord for His goodness.
  • This Year's Jesus At The Beach Festival

The fourteenth annual JESUS AT THE BEACH MUSIC & MINISTRY FESTIVAL will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, July 28, 29, & 30, 2008. The Festival will begin each day at 10am until approximately 1pm at the Ocean City Convention Center with praise, worship, dance, drama, testimony, preaching, prayer, and Holy Spirit ministry. The afternoons are free to enjoy fellowship with one another. Each night from 7pm to 10pm on the beach at North Division Street, God will minister through praise music, dance, drama, testimony, and one-on-one sharing. A baptism service is planned for Wednesday, following the meeting, at approximately 1pm or so, in the ocean near the Convention Center.

You can drop people off downtown at North Division Street (the same street as the Route 50 bridge) for the evening ministry, and then park at the Convention Center (located on 40th Street and Coastal Highway). Also you can park free at the Park and Ride in West Ocean City and ride the city bus for a dollar. If you park at the convention center, put a JESUS AT THE BEACH flyer on your dashboard to identify you are attending the ministry.

If definite rain is known in advance, the evening ministry will relocate to the Convention Center. Please pray for good weather.

Blessings, anointing, and substance in Jesus, we pray,

    Gary and Dick
